Since 25 August 2017, an estimated 655,500 Rohingya have crossed into Bangladesh fleeing violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine State, increasing the total Rohingya population in Cox’s Bazar to 868,000. ‐ IOM Protection has begun utilizing IOM’s MIMOSA Database to track counter trafficking cases with the help of two case workers. ‐ 20 health promoters have been trained on the psychosocial approach and the Belief Model to increase their capacity to understand and encourage healthy behavior in patients.
